While vacationing in Jamaica, we pondered what was a ‘fork in the road ahead’. Anne was facing a changing corporate environment and I said to her, “We love to travel, let’s start a travel business!” not having a clue what that really meant. She was open to the idea though had no notion about entrepreneurship nor how we’d even begin. Being open was enough! We accepted the challenge and in February 2020 set out to build what initially was just a lifestyle but has grown into a thriving service.
What’s in the name? One of the driving forces for us is firsthand knowledge of places, spaces and experiences. While diligent research and a strong network of in-destination partners obviously allow us to plan great trips to places we’ve yet to visit, nothing can truly replace being there ourselves! The word ‘know’ can mean “have knowledge of” but can also mean “has experience with” and we highly value the latter.
